Moving to Zambia

Moving to Zambia

As I informed everyone in my last post, we have enough support to live in Zambia. Our plans at this point are to be in Zambia by the end of July.

I had originally intended to make the jump later in the year but I discovered that I will need to renew my work permit by September. As a result I need to be there before that time to process the paperwork. Charles Phiri informs me that it takes about 30 days to process.

The end of July there is a national men’s lectureship scheduled. Siavonga is to be the host this year and Charles would like for me to be there for the meeting. That is at the very end of July.

Work has begun on our house in Siavonga. It is hoped that the walls will be up by early May and it will be under roof by the end of May.

In the meantime we are dealing with all of the things that we have accumulated in the house and me in my office. We will not be taking much of anything with us for the house. We will get that when we are there.

I will begin to blog a bit more as preparations continue and keep everyone updated on what is transpiring in Zambia.

God bless!

Charles

    Mr. Hill,

This is such wonderful news. I am so proud of you and you will be missed. Please let me know when you have your moving sale because my oldest son who got married in August of last year just purchased their first home in Chambersburg last month and is in need of more furniture. Also my middle son is engaged now and is living in Hagerstown and they are in need of furniture. Both boys are expecting their first babies, well their wife and fiancé is, and are just starting out so they are in need of much things. The only one left at home now is Meghan. I would love to have lunch or breakfast with you before you head off to Zambia for good. Please let me know what your schedule looks like.

    Best wishes, stay in touch,
