The rains in Southern Zambia normally begin with a good rain near the end of October.  At that point the farmers move into the field to prepare and plant their crops.  The rains would then begin in earnest in late November.  However, this year this did not happen.  There were a few rains but the rains did not come before… Read more »

It has been raining a good deal in Siavonga. Losts of water, but…about 2 or 3 months too late for the farmers. There will be hunger in the district later on. Plans are in the works to possible help but more information will be forthcoming. If you are interested in helping out contact me a [email protected].
