Funds were sent today to Charles Phiri. A portion of the funds were to provide food for two Christians to work on translation of the final lesson of the WBS studies. It has taken a number of years to translate the earlier lessons into the Tonga language. The last lesson we will be translating will be “The Church”.
To date we have translated the Introduction,God has Spoken, This is Good News, Knowing Jesus, and Born of Water and the Spirit. These have been effective tools in teaching the good news to the locals in the Siavonga District.
We are also in the midst of reorganizing our efforts in using this tool for teaching. Materials in the language of the people is in great demand.
Charles will transmit the translation to me and I will begin to put it into the computer for correction and formatting and, eventually, printing. We will post our progress.
